Africa Sightings

Rainy season is approaching and everyone is out planting crops to be ready by March. Seems like every little piece of land has been hand ploughed.

Typical outhouse / toilet

Tony finding the dogs killings...

Shoes are worn until there is truly nothing left to them

Fire break outside of our farms' borders
Bicycles are second most popular transit here, followed by foot transport
See how these oversized charcoal bags somehow make it to the market, bikes are often used as wheelbarrows...

Hey Trace.
So what are you up to every day? Are you enjoying it? Are you homesick? I guess Christmas will be tough. Will you travel some more?

Vegas was fun - although we don't seem to be able to party like we used to!

I look forward to checking into your blog every once in a while.

Take care and keep in touch!

Hi Tracey
It was so great to meet you too! Thank you for the trip to the water towers to see the sun set, for the meal, the fun, the Italian, the G&T, the seed pod (I was glad to be able to come back for that) and your warmth and friendliness.
It felt like we were visiting friends when we came for dinner that night so that is a strong indication that you guys really do open your home to be others home too.
Thanks for the links. I love the slide show for Jeremie to Snow Patrol's 'Open Your Eyes' - such great pics and a great tune to match. I look forward to keeping tabs on your blog site..
I hope to be back sooner rather than later too!! Keep me posted of opportunities that come up.
love soo
