Hey ya Tracey Randall You! My two months back home flew past, as all good vacations do. But, in the midst of my catching up with old friends, I managed to spend a fair bit of time with the Whitby Johnstons. My boys are growing up. Soon, they'll be little men. Like me! The Santa crawl was good. Add alcohol and I'm always a party favor.
As for Ms Randall, I had mixed emotions. While I think what you are doing is very admirable, and certainly shows greater character than myself (I lack "empathy", my psychiatrist charges me a fortune to remind me), I wish you had found a partner and did the family thingy.
I also throw this offer out to you. Come to OZ, let me employ you for a few weeks, and take some time off. Maybe we'll do some site seeing while you are here. Anyway, a thought.
Other wise, I am good. Back here in OZ, in the warmth. Cafe is doing really well. It ran itself successfully while I was away, so it gives me comfort to know I can go away again. Which I might do! Maybe even Africa!
We get hugely busy from May-Sept. Then after that I don't know. I'm considering a few things. Sell everything and move back to Whitby. Open cafe and find a wife. (ya, right, wife???), or buy a place in Whitby and share my time between there and here, or who knows what else. Time will tell and I do know all things are possible.
Tracey, Terry & Susan forwarded your thank you and the awesome pics you sent. I just wanted to say how remarkable I think you are to be doing what you are doing and it was our pleasure helping your cause. You are making a huge difference in the lives of many... so Thank YOU!
Great to finally talk to you again Tracey. You sound happy and fulfilled and I am so glad that you are there to help. This is definitely your forte!! You should take Sean up on his offer if the Bejing gig doens't work out!!!! Move on to the next adventure!! Thanks for all of your love and concern for Liam - he misses his auntie Tracey and looks forward to you reading to him again. TTYS. Love ya lots, Kathleen
Hey Tracey, Thanks for sending along those photos. They are incredible! It certainly sounds like you are doing good work! Take care and go safely, Paul McVean
I'm here in Zambia out of a deep passion and a sense of calling. My work in Africa is completely voluntary. If you want to make a tangible contribution to my role here, you can make a donation through Project Hope (tax receipts issued). My sponsorship letter has more details.
