Please say a special prayer for baby Liam(age 9 months) Cruikshank.
He’s my wee 'musungu' baby in Canada – Kathleen & Brad’s little one that was having trouble with seizures at 5 months old and has been receiving injections which are to finish by end of October.
Liam was rushed by air from Peterborough to SickKids Hospital in Toronto last week and has been on a breathing tube for the past 7 days. He’s a little trooper for all he has been through at his age.
Please take a moment to wish him well. I pray that mom and dad keep up the strength that their precious little angel will need from them to get on the high road to recovery.
I wish I could be with you, my friends. I've lived in Toronto since 1988 and now living so far away really feel quite helpless. Know that my thoughts and prayers are with you every day.
Lots of love, Tracey xo

Hi all,
Hopefully this will be my final update on Liam from his stay at Sick Kids.
He is doing well and they were decreasing his oxygen today. He still needed it overnight and today (although tolerating less),
so hopefully by Saturday (tomorrow) can come right off the oxygen and go home.
Kath and Brad were hoping it would be today but are fine with him staying until he is perfectly ready to go home. He seemed to have more energy than he did yesterday and is drinking well...not so big on eating but that will come, they're sure. He's sleeping pretty well at night so hopefully that will continue at home as well.
Let's hope the next update is from Kath at home !
Thanks for all the kind words and support to them and to me as well. It sure helps to know that people care so much.
Talk soon,
Love, Susan
Hi Kath and Brad (and nurse sue)
I just read this and really wanted to pass on my prayer and positive thoughts for Liam. Even in Tracey's absense, she's still creating connections, and I wanted you to know that others are thinking about you.

Hi Lady,
We are finally home from the hospital and Liam is getting stronger everyday. I wanted to thank you again for your phone call. It meant the world to me that you called and to hear your voice. We are so lucky to have you in our life and we so appreciate all of your Africa friends and colleagues praying for Liam.
Liam is a fighter and he pulled through this with a smile on his face. He is smiling and giggling again - we haven't seen him do this in a very long time.
Liam still has some tests to face but we hope that it will be nothing but good news from here on in.
Thanks again for your support Tracey and hope to talk to you soon. I will try to get the Skype thing going once we get back into a little more normal routine.
Love,
Kathleen
