Hi Tracey, I'm off to volleyball tonight so I will say hello to everyone for you. We are planing another winter hike soon. Wish you could be here for it. I hope this finds you well and lets chat again soon,
Hi Tracey Things are going well here. It has slowed down since the new year festivities are over. A bit of a welcome break. I am trying to be a tourist on my time off. I haven't found a regular team to play hockey with but I am playing shinny in Banff on my days off, as well as going for a skate on Lake Louise several days a week. Often I go skating after work and since it is approaching midnight I am usually alone. It is so peaceful at that time and it is nice to just soak in the nighttime scenery. It is amazing what you can see at night, I went for a walk the other day to a small lake higher up than Lake Louise, it is called Lake Agnes and is about a 3.5km walk uphill to see it, it was very nice and I hope to go back in!
As always the views here are spectacular and it makes it hard to miss home, I still feel like in a strange way I am on vacation.
I'm here in Zambia out of a deep passion and a sense of calling. My work in Africa is completely voluntary. If you want to make a tangible contribution to my role here, you can make a donation through Project Hope (tax receipts issued). My sponsorship letter has more details.
